Fall extravaganza

Untitled
Let's have a look at some pictures from another day. Today is very stormy in Berlin and I'm not going outside.

Untitled
Stayed in bed finishing a book this morning, drinking coffee.

Untitled
One of my hobbies: Walking into courtyards to look what's hiding. Often very beautiful things.

Untitled
This picture makes me dizzy, I like it.

Untitled
Made me smile when I passed by this setting, seems like something started in one way and then ended in a rush.

Untitled
Just ridiculously beautiful.

Untitled
Does anyone know the name of this tree? It always gets so amazingly yellow and loses it's leaves quickly.

What's happening today at yours?
I'm working right now and will soon make a cauliflower & potato soup. Then work work.

Did you know that I do wholesale by the way? If you have a shop and want to stock my products - feel free to drop me an email at sandrajuto@gmail.com.

Oh the colours

Untitled
Oh Berlin. When I go out to run errands, I bring my camera with me sometimes as you know. I like to collect pictures like this, colour inspiration.

Untitled
This sign is very cute.

Untitled
Berlin is full of graffiti and tags, I don't really see it anymore. It's part of this city's culture.

Untitled
This colour combination is beautiful.

Untitled
Hey, guys!

Untitled
Also a fabulous colour combo.

What's up this weekend?
I'm working on my new web page, looking so much forward to releasing it. It's going to be at a new space and I hope I will manage to import this blog's archive over there. Will move over my portfolio stuff as well as make a proper page for the Wrist Worms. Will be great to have everything in the same place, side by side. Hope you want to join me to the new space :)

Apart from work work work, I'm going to make pasta again tonight and finish a book. They say a storm is coming.

A day off doing work stuff

Untitled
It's been a very good day today.

Untitled
Johan and I went to Kreuzberg to run some errands. While he was at a meeting, I went to Markthalle Neun to read a book and answer some emails.

Untitled
Always a good vibe. I remember back in the days when we used to visit the Street food Thursday. It became a huge success, which is great for them :) For me, on the other hand, it's harder as I have problems being in big crowds.

Untitled
Today was calm.

Untitled
Love this Späti sign!

Untitled
We went to Modulor and today was so warm and nice, felt like the last warm day of the year. We decided to go to Prinzessinengärten for a beer.

Untitled
Slurp.

Untitled
The plan was to do things like this more often, now that we're both freelancers. Hopefully in a near future :) So grateful for today.

Untitled
Walked along Oranienstrasse.

Untitled
Until Schlesisches Tor and then to Friedrichshain.

Untitled
Went for chicken burgers at Gotham Imbiss. Outside!

Although we were doing work things, it kind of felt like a day off. Well needed, especially for Johan who's been working like a maniac on so many different projects lately, day and night.

Sunday, Monday and Today

Untitled
On Sunday I all of a sudden felt the urge to make a dough. Was rummaging through kitchen stuff, when I found my pasta machine thingy and decided to make tagliatelle. Got the pasta thingy from my parents in 1998 and only used it once. I thought it was too much work. It's not! It's super simple! Johan came by, with his new pair of Wrist Worms which I had just finished. To take a picture for his instagram.

Untitled
I made a dish I called Cardinal Sin (on Instagram, Italians tend to want to correct me for making my pasta dishes wrong, but hey I'm Swedish and I don't like to follow rules). This is a very intense tomato sauce topped with goats cheese. One of my biggest A-HA moments about pasta, was many years ago when I started to always stir the sauce into the pasta right before serving. In Sweden (and in Germany I've seen), people first put the pasta on the plate and then the sauce on top, which makes the pasta a dry dull mess (many examples here). Not my taste.

Untitled
Sunday evening, I took a walk to Mitte and back. Went out for beers with my Greek family.

Untitled
Yesterday brunch with friends. My finger shows the way to my studio, go and work, lady!

Untitled
In the evening, I went out for a double espresso with whipped cream. Was supposed to be a quick one, came home 3 hours later. You know those evenings when one friend after another pops in and you have really nice conversations.

Untitled
Woke up to a dark sky and rain this morning, a beautiful person gave me coffee and I am so thankful for not having to go outside to get to work today. I have many new things going on work wise right now, you will see soon I hope! Have to take a break from making Wrist Worms, my body told me to stop. Not for too long though :) The holidays are coming.

A regular Saturday in Berlin

Untitled
Last night I went to bed pretty late and there was a big party going on in an apartment on the other side of the street. The whole street was shaking and they went on for hours playing old hits. Rhythm is a Dancer, Crying at the Discotheque, Mr. Vain, The Winner Takes it All, Rhythm of the Night, Simply the Best etc etc. I was waiting for Pump up the Jam but fell asleep before the party was over. Fell asleep to Like a Virgin. Anyway, Johan and I were lying in bed guessing which song was going to come next, until we got hungry and said Let's fall asleep so we can get up for cheese soup at Boxi tomorrow. And so we did.

Untitled
For my fellow Berliners: When drive by asked me if I wanted to try out their service, I said yes! I love to drive around Berlin to discover new places and the greatest thing about drive by is that you pay per kilometer instead of per minute. The second greatest thing is that they also provide vans, so when you need to transport large things, just pick a van on the street. If you also want to try out drive by, use code SANDRAJUTO on their registration page and get 10 km instead of 5 km for free (joining is also for free).

Untitled
Posted that picture of Wrist Worms on the Wrist Worms Instagram page today. Been working most of the day, except for when I went grocery shopping. The light was unreal! Tonight I've been making a very intense tomato sauce and tomorrow I plan to make my own pasta, haven't done it for almost 20 years. Looking forward to it, I think it will be very good for both shoulders and wrists to work that pasta dough ;) Hm... Eating will be my favourite part, I guess.

1 part of this post is a collaboration between me and drive by.

With the love of my life

Two passions combined

Untitled
Back in the days, I went out for coffee almost every day. These days I drink my cups mostly at home. Here is an exception.

Untitled
Kaffee 9 in Kreuzberg, one of my favourite cafés.

Untitled
Last Friday I went there to combine my two passions - drinking coffee and crocheting.

Untitled
The graphic material is always very well made over there.

Untitled
And details like these.

Untitled
Huge window, great for people watching.

I have to head over to Modulor in Kreuzberg today, maybe it's time to swing by Kaffee 9 again, this time with another passion of mine - Johan. Need a proper walk after last night's amazing dinner & beer tasting at Das Meisterstück, you can see pictures on my Instagram stories until tonight.

I know it's early to think about the Xmas holidays, but if you live outside of Europe and think about giving Wrist Worms as a gift - the postal service is very very busy in December, so hot tip is to order pretty soon to be sure they arrive in time for the holidays.

Wish you a great weekend! I'll bring my camera with me today (edit: hmm... forgot it at home)! See you soon :)

Signs

Untitled
The other day as I walked to the yarn store to stash up more yarn for Wrist Worms.

Untitled
When I uploaded the pictures to my computer, I noticed that I had taken lots of pictures of signs. So let's go for a sign extravaganza ;)

Untitled
If you've visited Berlin, I'm sure you noticed there are lots of döner shops everywhere.

Untitled
Fadeninsel it is! The yarn store.

Untitled
How sweet is this?

Untitled
One of my favourite parts of the city.

Untitled
The combo pink and green always makes me happy.

Untitled
Heh.

Untitled
Also sweet. Now I want to make shoots like this on purpose, has been too long!

Untitled
This is my favourite sign right now, it's for the computer games museum and shows different old games, animated.

Tonight I'm invited to a food and beer tasting on the other side of the city. Looking forward to it! Hope you all are feeling well.
