Some days ago, snow came.

And on Sunday I headed out for a walk with Johan.

We had brunch at Aunt Benny, still my favourite café in the neighbourhood. I'm posting these pictures to torture myself as I have started a fast for the first time ever in my life. Time to clean both myself and my surroundings! I have many changes I want to make and I'm already on my way :)

Will let you know how this fasting thing goes.
Do you have experience?

  1. Interesting experiment. I would only say to be careful if you are taking any medicines. Otherwise, I also fast sometimes. For me this simply means not eating when I am not hungry. I don't eat any form of sugar or processed foods due to a health condition. So far it has worked out well for me. Good luck with your fast!

    1. i'm lucky enough not to take any medicines and i have no health issues, so i think it'll be safe :) just have to control my temper, luckily i'm spending most of those days completely alone, ha ha.

  2. I do fasting every year due to my believes for one whole month. We don't eat or drink anything from sunrise to sunset. And so far I have no problem with that. I even did it during summer back in 2015 in Berlin. Pretty hard but manageable. When you really want to do it, then even the pictures of food won't bother you. It really setting your mind to the task and everything just flow with the wind. If I wasn't fasting, I always thinks of food every noon while my stomach growling. But during the fasting month, I don't even feel hungry during the day. First couple of days will be the hardest but it will became easier along the way.

    Good luck with your fasting...

    2. Hello Sandra,
i fasted too several times, first with 2 friends, we all drank herbtee with honey and lemon for 10 days, i did not feel myself weak at all. Later i fasted for a week in every half year, but i have to admit i stopped with fasting for years. Thank you for reminding :)
This is a nice, quiet experience, really suits for the cold winter, hope you enjoy it :)
Oooh, and i spent one fasting with copying a yummy soup-recipe book - i literally handwrote the whole book for myselfwith drawings, pictures - the original one was borrowed from a friend and it did not make me hungry at all :D
      My fingers are crossed!
