October was the month when I ate a lot of banana bread and had to visit one of the most dreaded buildings in the city (it went well).
Saw my first Fall tree and listed a new green colour of Wrist Worms in the shop (by the way, I have several new large Wrist Worms listed now, yay!).
Took a walk to Schöneberg with Johan and enjoyed the beautiful day fully.
Discovered some beautiful courtyards in my neighbourhood.
Had pretty much coffee and enjoyed the view from my kitchen window, hope they won't "fix up" that beautiful facade from 1899.
How I'd been waiting for this! In 1994 the Swedish Postal Service offered people to write a letter to themselves to receive 20 years later (they used my personal identity number to find me). I had written mine when I was going through a pretty embarrassing phase in life (well, I was 15 so that's pretty common) - maybe I'll make a blog post about parts of the letter in the future :)
Was walking though the local cemetery with a friend.
Did the same with Johan after we'd been to Boxi to buy burrata. Made that pasta for lunch with spinach, garlic, lemon, roasted almonds and olive oil.
I was working a lot and walking a lot.
And had wine outdoors with friends.
Boxi farmers market and some Vietnamese food for lunch close to Görlitzer Bahnhof.
Delicious food at Baraka and delicious coffee at Silo :)
Ended the month helping friends to move, now they live closer to me wooohooo!
Happy weekend, all!
You all know I love coffee. What you don't know: I drink more tea than coffee. Especially the past 10 days as I have been sick and my body says big NO to coffee. What a timing Paper & Tea had when they asked me if I wanted to try their tea. I have been a long time admirer of their beautiful shops and graphic profile so of course I said yes! White tea is my favourite next to black tea and this one is delicious. Thank you for the gift, P&T!
Hi! How's your Sunday? I'm spending mine in my studio together with Johan. I have the flu, but no fever so working feels like resting anyway.
This is my grannysquare blanket, the first one I made. There is one available in the shop and it's now on sale, you find it here and it's probably the last one I've made, at least in a very long time :)
Passed on my flu to this man, what can you do when you live together ;) Sharing is caring.
Winter has arrived :)
These Wrist Worms are moving to Munich for a market beginning on Friday. Wrist Worms are on sale with a 20% discount this week and I've decided to extend the sale for next week as well. Read more about the sale here.
Now we're waiting for a sushi delivery as no one of us feels like cooking and sushi cures everything, doesn't it.
Hope you're all having a great weekend.
Give someone or yourself warm hands for xmas. Special Wrist Worms offer this week - 20% discount with code WEEK47. Order now to make sure to have your Wrist Worms delivered before the holidays :)
All info in the shop: sandrajuto.bigcartel.com.
Worldwide shipping, welcome!
Hello from my studio and thank you for visiting.
The city is covered with colourful leaves.
My brain is covered with wool.
I think it's time to do another post like this and this, don't you think?
So: If you've bought a pair of Wrist Worms from me, please send in a picture of yourself or someone else (or no one ;)) wearing the Wrist Worms and I'll post it here on the blog (if you have a blog or website, send me the link and I'll link your picture to your place). If you participated before, you're welcome to participate again of course! Minimum width of your picture 800px, please. Send it to sandrajuto (a) gmail (dot) com. Fun fun! I'll upload them in a couple of weeks.
This weekend Berlin celebrated the fall of the Berlin wall 25 years ago.
We walked from Friedrichshain to Kreuzberg to meet friends. A walk you couldn't take when the wall was there.
Johan and I had a balloon to release later in the evening.
Such a beautiful and touching installation.
We spent the evening at Engelbecken.
This is Christopher, he and his brother are the brains behind this idea.
I remember November 9 1989 so well. It feels like such a long time ago but at the same time so recently.
Every balloon had a tag attached to it with a message.
And boom, the balloons were released and flew away!
Cheers to freedom!
