Today I met my friend Eva for a walk and fika, she's the only Swede I know here except for Johan. Speaking our native language is well needed in a world of mixing Swedish, English and German all the time. My brain sometimes sends out very strange sentences through my mouth.
I had rhubarb/strawberry pie together with my cappuccino.
Someone was in New York this week, do I need to say I felt slightly envious? ;)

ReplyDeletei started when i was 13 and took it for 6 years in school. after that i went to university and studied german for a year, full-time.

ReplyDeleteEnglish and not enough French are my languages, though I'm going to be starting German soon. I sometimes like the confusion of clashing languages in my head. :)
