Oh I love frost photos! These are beautiful.
Incredible! How come my windows don't have any of that gorgeous frost? Is Charlottenburg warmer than Friedrichshain? :)
i guess you have modern heating ;)
wonderful...i love that!it reminds me of the winter.time in my childhood...there where snowflowers on the window every year in winter. i haven´t seen them for a long long time...so thanks for sharing your wonderful pictures of them...it´s magic...!!!liebgrusseni
ohh, winter wonderland!
I never thought I'd miss the patterns of ice freezing on windows. Haven't seen that in three years now and I miss it!
Absolutely amazing! The pattern in the second picture makes me think of Arts and Crafts wallpaper.
It's also one of the most amazing things I've seen...
These are so beautiful, my dear.
hi! not even in Sweden? great pictures... but it must be very very VERY cold!
not even in sweden! :) but i've seen amazing frost there in other ways: http://sandrajuto.blogspot.com/2010/12/its-cold-its-white.html
Thanks for the link, very nice ones. I love ice on leaves and the bike shot is amazing. I love snow :-) it just started over here in north italy as well. They predict 10 cm snow fall. Can't wait to walk on it and take pictures too.
Toll diese Eisblumen. Die sind ja ganz wundervoll. Ich habe immer nur Wasser am Fenster. Vielleicht sollte ich mal das Heizen einstellen.Dir einen tollen, sonnigen Tag. Liebe Grüße allesistgut
That is gorgeous! I wish our windows did that, it's much nicer then the view of the other apartment buildings.
The coolest cool! The last picture would be nice as a wallpaper.
woooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow!! the second photo is brilliant! :D
Unglaublich schön ist das, Sandra. Obwohl es in Wien auch mehrere Minusgrade hat, werde ich in meiner Neubauwohnung nicht mit derartig schönen Blumen beschenkt.
oh my....it must be very coldbut what a beauty it gave
Do you have single-glazed windows? (We do , but it never gets that cold here, so they mostly just get wet in winter)
double, but they are 112 years old :)
Ah, that's really interesting, I didn't know there was double-glazing that long ago! I think our house it from the 1930s or so, not quite as old. :-)
I really love your photos. Its amazing how you can catch the everyday details and turn them in such pretty images :)
Superbes photos !véronique
On a list of things I miss from my childhood, Eisblumen (ice flowers) would rank pretty high.:)I think they're not so much a function of the cold and/or the heating, however, but have to do with the windows. You hardly see them anymore because modern windows have two or three layers of glass with air inbetween as insulation. Yours probably consist of just one pane. As pretty as the effect is, you may want to talk to your landlord about getting new windows -- otherwise you're losing a tremendous amount of heat. In the meantime, _do_ take lots of gorgeous photos.:)
thanks for the tip! i love my 112 years old (double) windows so much that it's worth losing some heat during the winter :) they make me happy every day.
that's BEAUTIFUL sandra! love it!
These blow my mind! How incredible.
Amazing ! and very nice ...
Ich habe heute Morgen nach dem Aufwachen auch erstmal die Eiskristalle im Küchenfenster fotografiert, schön dass der Winter auch endlich in Berlin angekommen ist. :)
OMG! This is so beautiful! What a treat, thank you for sharing!
These pictures are amazing Sandra! They remind me of childhood winters here in the UK, when the snow would be three feet deep and the would be a half inch of ice just like this on our windows. I wish I had had a camera back then and I wish we could have winters like that again. :)Emma, x
so very beautiful :)
wow - you find the motifs for your photos in the most incredible places.....our temperatures are the worst in more than 25 years, but we do not have as incredible windows as you have, despite my appartment being very difficult to warm up, hence wearing a pair of your wrist worms indoors
en (den enda?)av fördelarna med att bo med enkelglas, mycket vackert!
det lustiga är att det är två fönster på varandra men de beter sig som englasfönster
at least the frost is pretty :-)(but, uiuiui - you must be freezing in your apartment, no?)
I think I'll have to visit somewhere cold to see such lovely frost, you captured it beautifully!
Så vackertMvhKatarina i Lueå
Wow I can't believe that's natural frost! It looks like art!
so beautiful. reminds me of my year spent in Montreal CA. look at my (old) website for my IcePiks :-) www.southlenz.com

Wow! Those frost formations are stunning. Makes the cold a little easier to bear I imagine?
sweet baby jay jay! that is the most amazing thing I've seen in a long time too.however, I fear for your wellbeing... no serious heating, methinks... ?
