Happy Squid

Untitled
Went by Happy Baristas (great café in Friedrichshain, close to Ostkreuz, they are very good at posting beautiful pictures on their instagram) today to check out Johan's latest logo work for their Squid Nitro Brews.

Untitled
If you haven't tried a nitro coffee, I highly recommend it. They also serve nitro tea.

Untitled
One of my favourite cafés in Berlin.

Hello, Blondi!

Also great logo work!

And the beautiful coffee cups.

In the mood for coffee now? :)

Haircut

Untitled
This morning I stood up and went straight to Eili for a haircut. Some kitchen sink realism (without the sink).

Untitled
We had breakfast on her balcony.

Untitled
And then she cut off a lot of my hair, yay! Trimmed a bit after this picture was taken as well ;)

Midsummer party

Untitled
On Friday we celebrated midsummer with Eili. She did my hair, she's a great hair stylist and takes appointments, check out her Instagram!

Untitled
Right on time for sandwich cake, Otto came by with Ramona and Antti. It was Otto's 1st birthday, so we celebrated him until he passed out.

Untitled
While Eili was doing my hair, Johan was in the kitchen making the cake, a vegan version, and playing good music. As I wasn't involved in the cake making, I don't have a recipe to share. All I know is that he took inspiration from this one with more herbs, salt and some other filling instead of the 1st one. The recipe is in Swedish, but I'm sure a translation page can help you. After all the food we were ready to hit a techno club to dance the night away and I found a photo booth, the front of my hair wasn't as curly anymore as I had been sweating like a pig on the dance floor ;) Was a great midsummer! The rest of the weekend I spent talking walks, eating sandwich cake leftovers & finishing a great book; "Horrific Sufferings of the Mind-Reading Monster Hercules Barefoot: His Wonderful Love and His Terrible Hatred" by Carl-Johan Vallgren. Most well-written book I have read in a while!

Thunderstorm

Right at the moment when the thunderstorm broke out, my friend Eili was buzzing the door to bring me a flower and enjoy coffee and lightning on my balcony. What a great daytime activity!

Tomorrow we're going to celebrate Swedish midsummer with vegan sandwich cake, cava and some hair styling + photo shoot. Looking so much forward to it!
